Man Hospitalized in Center City Crash Driver Flees
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (July 30, 2017) – A man sustained serious injuries following a hit-and-run in Center City Philadelphia Sunday, according to the police.
The accident took place at about 2:20 a.m. on Broad Street near Lombard.
The car operator with a New York license plate hit the victim and fled the crash site, as per the report.
A 17th district officer noticed the car a short distance away at 13th and Catherine Streets.
The driver involved was taken into custody and will face charges.
The victim was hospitalized at Hahnemann University Hospital with injury, bruises, and cuts.
The victim’s identity was not yet released.
The accident is still under an investigation to determine its cause and the responsible party.
